WHAT
TO DO AND WHERE TO GO
Walks
from the house are in abundance with the ever popular Shropshire
Union Canal with its picturesque narrow boats
literally a stones
throw down the lane either via a pretty wood or a short stroll down the
lane.
Offa’s
Dyke
is almost on our
doorstep likewise are Selatyn
Hill Walks, LLechrydau
and The
Old Race Course with its stunning views
of the Berwyn
Mountain Range and the Shropshire
plains.
Venturing
further a field we have Llangollen
with its white
water rafting and
great scenery not forgetting the restaurants, bars and shops. In July
Llangollen hosts the world renowned International
Eisteddfod which is spectacular!
Horseshoe
Pass.
Leave
all your cares behind you and
go way up
into the Welsh Hills with views you only dream
about. Then of
course there is Worlds’
End. I can say nothing more
than WOW this
is a must.
Now,
for the more adventurous and those of you who want to travel further
afield
these are but a few of the wonderfully thrilling places to visit.
Snowdon
the Welsh mountain range that sits there high
up
waiting for climbers, walkers and Sightseers
to come along. You
can even take a train ride to the peak. The scenery here is truly
fantastic.
Even the journey to Snowdonia has views to bring tears to your eyes
because it
is so beautiful and moving.
Betws-y-Coed
is one of our favourite places, its has
streams that
tumble over rocks before flowing under quaint
stone built bridges.
The village contains excellent places to eat and several shops
selling
outdoor wear of very good quality.
Back
in England
we have Shrewsbury
this is
historic with many black and white half timber houses. This is the
birth place
of Charles Darwin who as a boy would fish for newts in The Dingle and
Quarry
park, which in season are full of blossom and blooms.
This
has so much to offer, too much to detail but the magnificent Iron
Bridge
a world
heritage site, spans the River Severn
majestically.
Iron
Bridge
Gorge has 10 superb museums for those of you
wishing
to go back through the ages of the Industrial
Revolution.
Chester
is a must for the shopaholic’s
amongst you, it
has
quaint cobbled streets full of every shop you
can possibly think
of, the city its self is steeped in history for you to discover.
Llandudno
a
trip to the seaside, take a walk along
the sea front and take in the sea air. Where
better that Llandudno?
Numerous rock shops and fish and chips for the hungry.
Llandudno has
undergone a resent makeover and is smart and stylish.
There
is an area of great entertainment, a luge run, dry ski slope and crazy
golf and
an alpine style restaurant
The
Great Orme
is a few
miles along the coast with views out to sea, quite amazing really.
Portmeirion
has the most delightful village and gardens,
built by
Sir Clough Williams-Ellis who wanted unspoilt architecture. Set in its
own
private peninsula on the coast of Snowdon
close to Miniffordd/Porthmadog, surrounded by 70 acres of sub tropical
gardens
with 50 buildings, Gwesty Portmeirion Hotel, Castell Deudraeth, several
restaurants and Cadwaladers ice cream café.
I
could go on forever telling you of all the interesting places
to visit
here in Shropshire and Wales but that would leave nothing to the
imagination,
so your next step is to give us a call to see if we
have any
vacancies, that once established, book in and arrive here where we will
be waiting
with freshly brewed tea/coffee and home made
cake. Then we can
tell you more about this beautiful part of the
country,
We think it is Paradise
Found!!
